We had eight of our best friends up to my husband's family cabin on Middle Cormorant and brought everyone here for dinner. Everything was great...the food was spectacular. I am sad to say I don't remember our server's name but she was one of the best I've ever had. She was attentive, she was prompt but didn't hover or hurry us, she was funny, she was thoughtful and we will definitely come back and will recommend it to others. If I had to pick one thing that wasn't a five out of five stars, were the cosmos. They were way too sweet and had way too much cranberry in it. Didn't taste like a Cosmo tasted like Kool-Aid. But I've typically had really good drinks there so it might have just been an off night for the bartender.

Honestly it's a very nice place to eat! Had the Diver Scallops and their Smoked Old Fashioned. Was not disappointed and would come again if I'm in the area.

A really nice drive last night out to lakes country. And we tried this place. It I think is now called Parallel 46. Science? Is the name based on longitude and latitude? So Google Maps needs update name however there still a large sign out front with Country Inn name. There is a small amount of remodeling construction too, but for sure the place is open. The property and views from restaurant windows are lovely and it was nice to sit in bar area and watch sun set. The restaurant was extremely busy and service was not quick but extremely friendly and things very clean. People dressed pretty casual like being at the lake. It's a nicer restaurant though the prices a bit higher but food very good. I liked the homemade mustard sauce and pretzels appetizer. I had a brisket sandwich. The bread too thick for me on sandwich and brisket although supposed to be fatty was overly greasy to me. Thinner bread and some bbq sauce and less mild sharper cheddar would have helped. The potato chips with sandwich and bacon on sandwich really good though. Truly a good selection of wines and desserts. The homemade key lime pie was so yummy. My bf liked his steak and his side salad had plenty of fresh garden vegetables. The place has ambience of a nice boat house or cabin. It's really laid back and fun place. I would definitely go back again and recommend this place to anyone.

Another culinary delight to choose from in Lakes Country. - LOTS of delicious selections with a variety of prices. - Started out with Bleu Bites (22) - Decent portion of tender steak bites with bleu cheese and their own steak sauce. - Loved it! - After the app I wanted to go with a little cheaper entree than my usual Tenderloin (44 on the menu) - So I went with the Parallel French Dip (19) - Another great choice - Came with a creamy horseradish sauce and tasty au juice to go with it. - I had hashbrowns for the side - crunchy nice sized portion. - Wife did the Halibut special with AuGratin and was pleased with her meal. Only regret was not saving room for dessert, we will be back maybe just for drinks and dessert. Ambiance/location/etc. are all very nice, no lake views, but nice big patio area in the back and a nice sized events center next door with lots of live music and fun weekend food options. - Seafood boil coming up this weekend. - But maybe call in advance, it says you need reservations for it. Service was awesome. - Patti did a great job keeping our drinks filled, checked on us just the right frequency from arrival, through order, through food deliver and finally with dessert and check. - Great service can be hard to find these days and Parallel 46 delivered it. - The other tables (servers) around us all seemed very attentive as well. Give it a try!

If you are in the area and have not checked Parallel 46 yet, you are seriously missing out. The food is absolutely amazing and I honestly don’t think I’ve had better service anywhere else...ever. The atmosphere is great inside and out, there is plenty of parking and seating for various party sizes, an easy drop off area right by the front door, and you can even reserve a table online to make sure you get a table on busier days. The Tender Tips (steak bites) with mushrooms and onions were dang near life changing. Get them with the creamy horseradish and house steak sauce and you won’t be disappointed. Seriously...they were so good, I literally came back the next night to get them again!

Location

Welcome to Parallel 46 Food & Drink, a culinary haven nestled in the serene lakes of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota. Located at 10510 Co Hwy 5, this restaurant beautifully marries the charm of lakeside dining with culinary delights that leave a lasting impression. The name "Parallel 46" hints at its geographic setting, echoing the region's unique flavor amidst the natural beauty.

As you step through the doors, you will immediately feel the warm, inviting ambiance reminiscent of a cozy cabin. This is a place where casual dining meets gourmet cuisine. The atmosphere is relaxed yet refined, making it perfect for both family gatherings and intimate dinners. Guests have praised the spectacular service, with attentive staff who ensure a pleasant dining experience without being intrusive.

The menu at Parallel 46 is diverse and thoughtfully crafted, featuring dishes that are sure to please any palate. For example, the Diver Scallops have become a favorite among visitors, celebrated for their exquisite flavor and presentation. Diners like Chris Hyatt rave about the delightful combination of flavors, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality.

Authenticity shines through in every dish, from innovative appetizers like homemade mustard sauce paired with pretzels to classic comfort foods such as perfectly cooked brisket sandwiches. One customer, Colette Erck, noted that while she appreciated the hearty flavors, a few tweaks, like thinner bread, could elevate the dish even further. This commitment to feedback reflects the restaurant's ongoing pursuit of culinary excellence.

The drinks menu warrants special mention, though it has drawn mixed reviews. While some cocktails, like the Smoked Old Fashioned, have left patrons in awe, others found the cosmos a bit too sweet for their taste. As Alixandra Colehour highlighted, this seems to be an anomaly rather than the standard, suggesting that the establishment usually has its bartenders well-trained to craft perfect cocktails.

For those with a sweet tooth, the homemade desserts, particularly the key lime pie, are not to be missed. Many guests, including Allison K, have expressed their delight in the restaurant's dessert offerings, affirming that finishing your meal with a slice is a must.

In conclusion, Parallel 46 Food & Drink is a treasure tucked away in the stunning lake country. Whether you're diving into a sumptuous filet or enjoying the pastoral views from the windows, this restaurant invites you to savor good food in a heartfelt setting.
